JULY 2023 FLOODING DISPOSAL INFO
GENERAL DISPOSAL INFO
If you have any questions about disposal in the coming days or weeks, don’t hesitate to give us a call 802-888-7317. We accepted bagged trash at all of our drop-off sites. Bulky waste is accepted at Johnson, Stowe, and Worcester. Prices for trash disposal can be found here. We also have a list of licensed haulers here.
For the safety of solid waste workers, please note the importance of keeping hazardous materials and other potentially dangerous items, like batteries, electronics, and appliances, out of mixed trash. For more details, see here.
HAZARDOUS WASTE SPILLS
Did the flooding cause your heating fuel tank to topple over and spill onto the ground? Report any spills of hazardous materials (such as heating oil) that reached the ground or water so the Spills Program can help assess the situation and provide guidance on cleanup.
To report a spill:
Call 802-828-1128 during regular office hours (Monday through Friday from 7:45 am to 4:30 pm) OR
