Craftsbury Transfer Station
In this rapidly changing climate, we find ourselves trying to adapt and balance the needs of the public and the health & safety of both our customers and our employees. Our staff, while safe, is limited in number,requiring us to modify operations to align employee availability with the number of facilities that we operate.
Open Saturday, April 11 & 25 with extended hours to allow for social distancing. A new box will be on site into which customers will deposit bags of trash. Attendants will not be handling items during COVID-19 so be customers should be prepared to unload all items when they arrive. Closed April 18 and May 2.
Hours: 8:00am - 2:00pm, (extended hours)
Location: Town Garage - Creek Road, Craftsbury Village
Many items are not safe to discard with your regular trash. Other items have value when reused or recycled making it important to keep them out of the landfill. The State of Vermont is proactive to make sure certain materials are handled properly to ensure the safety of its residents and its environment. The items listed below are accepted at our Craftsbury Transfer Station:
- Household Batteries
- Fluorescent Bulbs
- Food Scraps
- Mercury Products
- Cell Phones
- Plastic Shopping Bags
