LRSWMD operated Transfer Station & Redemption Center

Position Available: The Lamoille Solid Waste Management District is looking to hire a part-time, weekend person to work at the Stowe Transfer Station just off the Mountain Road. Hours are Saturday from 7:30AM through 3PM and starting compensation is $9.50 per hour. Candidates should be dedicated to the District's mission to reduce, reuse and recycle. Hours:
Transfer Station -- Closed on Tuesday, Open all other days 7:30 am to 3 pm
Reuse Center -- Open for pick up only on Tuesday and Thursday 12:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. & Saturday and Sunday 8:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m. Drop offs accepted during regular hours of transfer station operation.
Redemption Center -- Closed Tuesday & Sunday

The station has a reuse center. Clothing, and small household appliances and furnishings, in good condition, are accepted. The station is equipped with scales to weigh loads, so scale rates may apply. (minimum scale fee is $25.00) The station also has a Bottle Redemption Center located at the recycling building, and a SEVCA textile collection and recycling shed.
