Lamoille Waste Warriors Volunteer Over 100 Hours

The LRSMWD is grateful to our Lamoille Waste Warriors who have already volunteered over 100 hours at transfer stations and public events. The Lamoille Waste Warriors program was created for the LRSWMD by the first ECOAmeriCorps member to serve with the LRSWMD. The purpose of this program is to have community members serve as a waste management resource in their community members.

Waste Warriors have been spreading the word about the new Lamoille Soil residential organics collection program, helping people better understand what does and does not go into the blue recycling bin, and teaching neighbors ways to minimize waste through reusing and reducing!

Waste Warriors interact with LRSWMD members at transfer stations and at special events within their communities, contribute to LRSWMD programming content, assist in promoting LRSWMD offered programs, and other ways. Waste Warriors are also privy to insider materials management facts and operations so they are duly equipped to be a successful community resource and Waste Warrior!!

To get involved in the Lamoille Waste Warrior volunteer program, or if you are an event planner and could use the knowledge of some savvy sorters at an event, please contact Sujata Gautam, LRSWMD ECO AmeriCorps member at This email address is being protected from spambots.
